Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Navigation, Guidance, Control SME Engineer to support the CHGB program within the Hypersonics line. The role involves integration, test, and troubleshooting of avionics and associated systems in a high-stakes defense environment.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET), 4+ years of relevant experience (or 8+ years in lieu) and hands-on lab experience with instrumentation, data processing, and environmental testing.

Qualifications

• A BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• 4+ years of relevant experience (or 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree) or a MS in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be capable of reading engineering drawings, electrical schematics, cable/wiring diagrams, and the corresponding work instructions to produce complex assemblies and provide valuable feedback to program leadership.
• Familiarity with requirement decomposition.
• Provide rapid integration and troubleshooting support for system-level integration.
• Experience in electronics integration, test, and troubleshooting.
• Must have hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and test methods including the use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.
• Knowledge of test procedure development.
• Knowledge of post test data processing.
• Knowledge of environmental testing.
• Knowledge of circuit design - analog, digital, power.
• Organizational skills to document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of the avionics.
• Candidate must have demonstrated experience in effectively communicating within a team environment, which will include test and manufacturing engineers.

Responsibilities
