Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Flight Termination Engineer Lead for its Hypersonics line. Based in Huntsville, AL, you will serve as the Responsible Engineer and IPT Lead for the Flight Termination System, guiding cross-functional teams through design, integration, and testing to meet RCC requirements.

The role emphasizes rapid problem solving, qualification planning, and collaboration with government customers and industry partners.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• 8+ years of relevant experience (or 12+ years in lieu of degree) or MS + 6+ years.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics to produce assemblies.
• Experience with system-level integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with qualification plans to RCC-319 and RCC-324.
• Strong communication skills within a team including government customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Responsible Engineer and IPT Lead for the Flight Termination System.
• Lead technical reviews, failure investigations, and cross-functional teams.
• Assist in requirement decomposition and interface with RCC-Range Councils.
• Conduct non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis.
• Document designs and support production and test of avionics.
