Job summary

Jabil in Austin, TX seeks a Sr. Principal Hyperscale Rack Engineer to lead end-to-end rack architecture for air and liquid-cooled solutions in large-scale data centers.

You will drive design decisions across mechanical, power, thermal, electrical, and software domains while engaging customers from RFI to mass production. Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in engineering, systems integration, or data center hardware design.
• Minimum 3 years rack-level (L11) solution design and integration experience.
• Minimum 3 years switch/server experience with compute, storage, or networking hardware.
• Proven ability to lead complex rack solutions for hyperscale or large data centers.
• Familiarity with industry standards (EIA, ORV3, OCP) and global power architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead architect and development manager for complex rack-level solutions across mechanical, electrical, power, thermal, and software integration domains.
• Lead customer-facing technical engagements from RFI/RFQ to first hardware delivery and design reviews.
• Translate ambiguous customer requirements into clear program frameworks and scheduling.
• Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, balancing cost and risk with customer expectations.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across executives, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and program teams; manage BOM.
• Own rack-level architecture including power distribution, cooling, cable routing, and manufacturability.
