Job summary

Jabil seeks a Director of Product Engineering in Austin, TX to lead the technical direction of a teams delivering server and storage products. You will coordinate hardware, software, and firmware efforts, ensuring quality, performance, and customer satisfaction across a global manufacturing context.

The role requires 10–15 years in engineering product development, 4+ years managing an engineering team, and strong Agile/phase-gate experience.

Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
10-15 years in engineering product development.
Minimum 4+ years directly managing an engineering team.
Expert understanding of Agile and phase gate development methods.
End-to-end experience in architecture, design, test and sustaining.
Experience with enterprise server, storage, or networking products.
Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration across functions.
Willing to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Guide and manage the delivery of a portfolio of development efforts for server and storage products.
Organize teams and drive cross-functional solutions across hardware, software, firmware, and performance.
Apply execution discipline and engineering rigor to all deliverables; lead by example.
Make decisions on quality and features impacting customer experience.
Influence stakeholders to meet schedule, scope, and budget.
Communicate complex issues in simple, actionable terms at all levels.
Develop, grow, and retain world-class engineering talent; assess team needs and recruitment.
