Job summary

CBRE DIRECTLINE, a CBRE Data Center Solutions business, seeks a Fiber Estimator to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for low-voltage systems on hyperscale data center projects, analyzing blueprints and specifications to determine material, labor, and other costs.

Key responsibilities include preparing detailed proposals, coordinating with sales and project management, tracking scope changes and change orders, sourcing vendor pricing, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years fiber or low-voltage estimating experience.
• Data center experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel and Bluebeam skills.
• Strong understanding of installation methods and production rates.

Responsibilities

• Estimate SMF/MMF, OSP/ISP, MPO/MTP fiber systems.
• Build labor-driven costs (pulling, splicing, terminating, testing).
• Produce accurate takeoffs from complex drawings and incomplete designs.
• Level vendor quotes and drive competitive pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and execution constraints.
• Support multi-building campus estimates.
