Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking a Structural Design Technician to support our Advanced Manufacturing Data Centers team. You'll contribute to the design of hyperscale data centers, developing and updating structural drawings and models with engineers and project teams.

You'll use 2D drafting and BIM tools like Revit and AutoCAD to coordinate systems, review designs, and produce construction documents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field.
• At least 1 year of Revit.
• At least 3 years AutoCAD design experience.
• At least 2 years of Revit experience.
• Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Experience leading a team of Designers.
• Experience with Data Centers - Hyperscale.
• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update structural drawings and models for data center projects.
• Coordinate building systems and existing conditions with project teams.
• Help produce clear, accurate construction documents.
• Use 2D drafting and BIM tools, including Revit, for project coordination.
• Organize design work for small projects or work packages.
• Share technical knowledge with teammates and follow project standards.
