Job summary

Jacobs in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an experienced Construction MEP Project Manager to lead planning, coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and critical systems for hyperscale data center projects.

You'll work with owners, design teams, contractors, and vendors to deliver safe, high-quality systems on schedule and within budget, including commissioning and startup activities, safety, and quality control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of construction leadership.
• 8+ years managing complex MEP construction projects, data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• 5+ years leading mission-critical, industrial, or hyperscale projects with multiple contractors.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and commissioning docs.
• Proficiency with PM software, safety programs, and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead all MEP aspects of hyperscale data center projects from design review through turnover and commissioning.
• Coordinate MEP construction activities with the overall project schedule and sequencing plans.
• Manage relationships with owners, design consultants, general contractors, MEP trade contractors, equipment vendors, and utilities.
• Provide leadership during preconstruction, procurement, installation, startup, commissioning, and closeout.
• Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and design changes; monitor budget and schedule.
• Coordinate commissioning activities and startup procedures with teams.
