Job summary

Jacobs in Spartanburg, South Carolina, is seeking an experienced Construction MEP Project Manager to lead planning, coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and critical systems for hyperscale data center projects.

You will work with owners, design teams, and equipment vendors to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery, overseeing budgets, schedules, and commissioning through turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years managing complex construction projects with MEP systems.
• 5+ years in mission-critical, industrial, or data center projects.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and commissioning docs.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required; ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead all MEP aspects of hyperscale data center projects from design review through turnover and commissioning.
• Coordinate construction activities with project schedule and sequencing plans.
• Manage relationships with owners, design consultants, GC, MEP contractors, vendors, and utilities.
• Oversee procurement, installation, startup, commissioning, and closeout activities.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements; lead safety and quality initiatives.
