Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Construction MEP Project Manager for an on-site role in Spartanburg, SC. You will lead planning, coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and critical systems on hyperscale data center projects.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in mission-critical facilities, coordinating large MEP scopes with owners, contractors, and vendors to ensure safety, quality, reliability, and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a relevant field (Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Management, Building Systems).
• Minimum 8 years in construction projects with complex MEP systems.
• Minimum 5 years in mission-critical/industrial/data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP aspects of hyperscale data center projects from design through turnover and commissioning.
• Manage mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate MEP construction activities with overall project schedule and sequencing plans.
• Manage relationships with owners, design consultants, general contractors, MEP contractors, vendors, and utilities.
• Provide leadership during preconstruction, procurement, installation, startup, commissioning, and closeout.
• Oversee safety, quality, cost control, and regulatory compliance on site.
• Support commissioning and startup, IST, and turnover with operators and owners.
