Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Construction MEP Project Manager to lead planning, coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and critical systems for hyperscale data center projects. This on-site role requires coordinating with owners, design teams, and vendors to deliver safe, reliable facilities on schedule.

Strong background in mission-critical environments and ability to travel as needed are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Building Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing construction projects involving complex MEP systems.
• Minimum 5 years managing mission-critical, industrial, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, healthcare, or data center construction projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical construction practices.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required.
• Ability to travel as required for project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all MEP aspects of hyperscale data center projects from design review through turnover and commissioning.
• Serve as the primary project manager for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate MEP construction activities with the overall project schedule and construction sequencing plans.
• Manage relationships with owners, design consultants, general contractors, MEP trade contractors, equipment vendors, and utility providers.
• Provide leadership during all project phases including preconstruction, procurement, installation, startup, commissioning, and closeout.
• Review and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and design changes.
• Monitor contractor productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Identify and mitigate construction risks before they impact project delivery.
• Lead construction coordination meetings and provide project status reporting.
• Assist in development and management of project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
