Job summary

Leading National General Contractor is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning on hyperscale data center projects across the Midwest. The role involves coordinating with third-party agents, trade partners, consultants, and clients to drive IST execution and turnover.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data center commissioning, strong MEP knowledge, and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

5+ years commissioning experience in data center environments.
Strong knowledge of mission-critical MEP systems (electrical distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, chilled water, controls).
Experience leading commissioning on hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical facilities.
Willingness to travel extensively across the Midwest.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Lead commissioning on hyperscale data center projects from pre-construction to turnover.
Coordinate third-party commissioning agents, trade partners, consultants, and client stakeholders.
Develop and maintain commissioning plans, schedules, testing procedures.
Oversee MEP, controls, and IST testing.
Drive Level 1-5 commissioning and IST execution.
Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure commissioning documentation and turnover packages are complete.
Partner with construction, MEP, QA/QC, and operations teams.
Support client meetings and provide progress updates.
