Job summary

FST Technical Services is seeking a Commissioning Manager – Data Center Operations (Cx) to lead high‑visibility, mission‑critical data center projects from pre‑construction through final validation. You will manage functional testing, system validation, and issue resolution, while ensuring delivery on time, budget, and quality.

The role requires 10+ years in commissioning or related fields, with strong leadership, financial acumen, and experience overseeing multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commissioning, engineering, or mission‑critical construction
• 3+ years of proven experience delivering data center projects
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and teams
• Full L1–L5 commissioning lifecycle experience
• Hyperscale data center exposure preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning delivery from pre-construction through final validation
• Oversee functional testing, system validation, and issue resolution
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with high quality standards
• Identify system risks, scope gaps, and performance issues early
• Partner with field teams to drive real‑time problem solving
• Interpret contract documents to reduce risk and maximize value
• Manage project profitability, utilization, and forecasting
• Review invoicing and support financial reporting processes
• Lead, mentor, and develop commissioning engineers
• Support staffing, hiring, and team scalability
• Build accountability and consistency across project execution
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients
• Strengthen relationships and support repeat business
• Contribute to project pursuits, pricing, and growth strategy
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency
