Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Hypergolic Test Engineer at the Van Horn, TX site to support and lead test campaigns for hypergolic rocket engines and components. You will participate in readiness reviews, perform data analysis, and help improve test procedures and safety practices.

Level 2/3 roles require hands-on testing experience, strong reading of drawings and P&IDs, and the ability to operate test consoles in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, chemical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in a testing environment or related hands-on engineering role.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical physical and fitness assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support or lead daily test operations, operate test consoles, and execute test procedures.
• Lead test planning and implementation for hypergolic engine test campaigns.
• Participate in readiness reviews, activation reviews, pre-/post-test briefings, and data reviews.
• Develop, refine, and update test procedures and work instructions.
• Assist with hardware integration and post-test inspections.
• Troubleshoot fluid systems, instrumentation, and test support equipment.
• Perform data review, reduction, and performance analysis for post-test assessments.
• Read engineering standards, requirements, and P&IDs.
