Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Hyperbaric Tech/Wound Care RN to administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy and oversee safe operation of the chamber and related systems. This role supports the Advanced Wound Care Clinic and collaborates with the Hyperbaric Provider.

You will document treatments, monitor patient responses, educate and advocate for patients, and participate in safety drills and care coordination. A current RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (ADN or higher).
• Must be licensed as an RN in the state of practice or hold a Compact/Multi-State license.
• Current BLS Health Care Provider certification (AHA/Red Cross).
• Prior wound care experience.
• Prior Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, educates and orients patients about Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and treatment readiness.
• Administers therapy and monitors chamber performance and patient responses for safety.
• Documents daily hyperbaric treatments and wound care visits with accurate records.
• Operates and maintains the hyperbaric chamber and oxygen systems.
• Participates in safety program activities and drills.
• Obtains prior authorization from insurance companies.
• Performs other wound care duties as required.
