Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a qualified RN for the Wound Center's Hyperbaric Wound Care unit in Butler, PA. The nurse will assess patients, plan and provide care under physician orders and center policies, and communicate patient information to the care team.

The role requires RN licensure, 3+ years in acute care, and strong clinical and communication skills. ACLS and clearances are listed as requirements; travel between system locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Registered Nurse Program.
• Three years experience in an acute care setting.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to a diverse audience.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to Wound Center patients through an interdisciplinary approach and coordinates with physicians and healthcare team.
• Takes and records vital signs, monitors treatment, and reports abnormal findings to supervising physician.
• Assures compliant documentation and patient identification before interventions.
• Orders, maintains, and stocks supplies; supports front office needs and other staff as needed.
• Performs nursing duties including wound care, dressing changes, and related procedures as part of wound care under provider supervision.
