Job summary

University Health Partners of Hawaii is seeking a Hyperbaric Systems Supervisor in Honolulu to lead chamber operations, maintenance, and safety programs for patient treatments. The role requires hands-on supervision, regulatory compliance, and coordination with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training as a mechanic familiar with air compressors, pipefitting, welding, and oxygen gas mixture.
• Certified in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (preferred).
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Four years of military or commercial diving experience specialized in chamber systems, compressors and ancillary support equipment.
• Knowledge of compressor/engine repair, pipe fitting and tubing.
• Knowledge of oxygen and other gas mixture handling procedures for chamber treatments.
• Familiarity with dive tables, national codes and standards for hyperbaric chamber systems.
• Familiarity with administrative and managerial procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervises chamber personnel and develops maintenance schedules.
• Ensures compliance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Performs maintenance and emergency repairs on chamber systems and equipment.
• Maintains monthly maintenance activity reports for Director and Medical Director.
• Acts as chamber operator during patient treatments and selects decompression schedules.
• Coordinate facility maintenance with KMC Facilities Department for safe, clean clinical space.
• Participates in on-call schedule and response time targets.
