Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts seeks a Hyperbaric Registered Nurse to oversee the safe operation of hyperbaric chambers and related systems, under the supervision of the Hyperbaric Physician.

You will administer oxygen therapy, monitor patient response, maintain equipment, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while meeting licensure and certification requirements including MA RN license and BLS (ACLS preferred). Must complete HBO certifications within 36 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.
• Completion of an accredited school of nursing program.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN; ACLS certification may be required or current.
• Be certified as HBO-related within 36 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from Admission to Discharge.
• Administers medications and performs treatments and therapies.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care.
• Participates in and supports Nursing Governance activities.
