Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, is seeking a registered nurse for the Hyperbaric Treatment Center. This role focuses on planning, providing, supervising, and documenting professional nursing care for patients, following physician orders and established policies.

You will use nursing judgment to tailor care, delegate tasks when appropriate, and support staff. A BSN or ADN is required, NC RN licensure within 90 days, and BLS certification; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Use professional nursing judgment to individualize plan of care based on assessment.
• Delegate tasks and supervise activities of other licensed and unlicensed staff.

Responsibilities

• Participate in professional development and maintain required competencies.
• Act as preceptor or mentor to other staff and learners.
• Identify performance improvement opportunities and participate in improvement activities.
