Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking a Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT) for a PRN role to administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy and ensure safe operation of hyperbaric chambers and related systems.

Responsibilities include documenting patient conditions, participating in education programs, and contributing to a healing environment while delivering patient-centered care. Ideal candidates hold an HS diploma, 12 months in hyperbaric settings, CHT certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 12 months in a hyperbaric environment.
• Valid Certified Hyperbaric Tech (CHT) by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT).
• BLS (Basic Life Support).

Responsibilities

• Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients.
• Operate hyperbaric chambers and related support systems safely and effectively.
• Serve as outside attendant and control operator during clinical treatments.
• Document patient condition and care in the patient record promptly.
• Support hyperbaric medicine education and orientation for staff.

Education

HS Diploma or equivalent
