Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist to operate hyperbaric chambers and support systems. You will administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy, monitor patients, and document care under physician orders in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 12 months in a hyperbaric environment.
• Valid Certified Hyperbaric Tech (CHT) by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform oxygen therapy treatment protocols as prescribed by a physician.
• Observe the patient and the hyperbaric systems during the course of oxygen treatments reporting unusual occurrences.
• Accurately document patient condition and the administration of care in the patient record in a timely manner.
• Take an active role in hyperbaric medicine education programs and orient hospital and other personnel to hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
• Contribute to a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.
