Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville seeks a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurse to provide HBOT to patients under physician direction. You will operate monoplace chambers, monitor therapy, intervene to improve patient condition, and document care in line with UHMS protocols.

You will collaborate with the wound care team, educate patients and families, and adhere to safety standards while supporting a multidisciplinary care plan.

Qualifications

• All Hyperbaric Technologists must be healthcare certified (RN, LPN, paramedic).
• Experience with hyperbaric chamber operations preferred.
• Strong wound care and patient education skills required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates delivery across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive patient information to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Continuously uses the nursing process to evaluate progress and implement interventions.
• Promotes health and safe environment for patients.
• Provide hyperbaric chamber operations and maintenance per UHMS standards.
• Document care accurately according to policy.
• Deliver pre/post dive care and patient/family education.
