Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. seeks a Hyperbaric Care Technician to provide direct patient care before, during, and after hyperbaric treatments.

You will assist the patient care team, operate the hyperbaric chamber per training, and monitor safety and environmental factors for all age groups. The role includes preparing patients, setting up ancillary hyperbaric equipment, and participating in routine chamber maintenance.

Qualifications

• Current certificate or license in Medical Assistant, Diver Medical Tech, EMT, Paramedic, or LPN license.
• Meets medical requirements for hyperbaric exposure if applicable.
• Preferred UHMS or ACHM approved course in Hyperbaric Medicine.
• One year of wound care or hyperbaric experience.
• Experience in an acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after hyperbaric treatments.
• Operate the hyperbaric chamber according to training and protocols for all age groups.
• Maintain a safe environment by following safety policies and handling emergencies.
• Set up and operate ancillary equipment for hyperbaric therapy (blood glucose testing, BP monitoring).
• Monitor chamber environment variables (temperature, oxygen) and communicate with inside attendant.
