Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a Hygiene Lead at the Hunt Valley Plant to oversee sanitation, quality, and food-safety programs across shifts. You will drive SOPs, CIP/COP practices, and training to ensure regulatory compliance and robust sanitation performance.

The role requires strong leadership and communication, with collaboration across departments to optimize MSS, validation, and allergen controls while supporting continuous improvements in a high-output production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in food science, sanitation, food safety, chemistry, biology, engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Advanced working knowledge in sanitation, HACCP, microbiology, pest control and quality systems.
• Experience with core sanitation services: cleaning (wet/dry), COP/CIP, validation and verification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant sanitation and GMP compliance across pest and environmental control programs.
• Lead the sanitation program to meet site objectives, strategies and performance metrics.
• Provide guidance on sanitation and hygienic design to staff and cross-functional teams.
