Job summary

Arxada is seeking a Research & Application Specialist – Hygiene to drive discovery and development in professional and consumer hygiene formulations. The role emphasizes innovative disinfection solutions, new product formats, and robust technical support across Marketing, Sales, R&D and Regulatory teams.

The candidate will lead experiments, develop quaternary ammonium and peroxide-based systems, and deliver data-driven product improvements for market growth the Professional & Consumer Hygiene

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemistry.
• 8+ years of industrial R&D experience in antimicrobial technologies and disinfectant formulation development.
• Strong expertise in formulation science, particularly oxidizer-based disinfectant systems and surfactant technologies.
• Experience developing liquid disinfectants, wipes and dilutable concentrate formulations.
• Excellent understanding of disinfection and sanitization regulatory frameworks, including EPA and BPR requirements.
• Experience working within regulated industries.
• Ability to independently design experiments and translate findings into commercial opportunities.
• Proven capability to lead new product development programs in the hygiene sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and insights into customer innovation needs and demonstrate how Arxada technologies address those needs.
• Lead innovation pipeline programs with Marketing, Regulatory, Process and R&D teams; manage stage-gate milestones.
• Design, plan and execute experiments to develop new ideas, formulations and applications.
• Develop expertise in disinfectant formulations and lead formulation development activities.
• Create reports, presentations, and data sheets in partnership with Global R&D and Marketing.
• Prepare technical assessments and invention disclosures; support IP opportunities.
