Importance: You help ensure patients receive the best care through their experience, maintaining safety by following infection control protocols, educating using available tools, and assisting the hygienist or dentist chairside.

A Day in the life

• Caring for a variety of patients with hygiene appointments
• Handling new patients, various ages, sealants, screenings, polishing
• Working as part of a team, treating every patient like family
• Seeing 8-13 patients daily
• Assisting in all clinical and office areas
• Room setup/breakdown, sterilization, stocking, supply management
• Preparing for upcoming appointments
• Reviewing health histories and X-ray records
• Educating patients with visual tools and demonstrations
• Communicating constantly with team members
• Enjoying a dynamic, fast-paced environment
