Gentle Dental is looking for a Dental Hygienist Assistant in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, to join our clinical team. Position Overview:

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. We are passionate about preventive oral health care and value our hygiene team. Join our dynamic dental practice as a Dental Hygiene Assistant! Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.

  • Competitive Pay range: min $17 - max $19 per hour
  • Full time: Mon 9-6pm, T/Th 9-5pm, Wed 9-6pm, Fri 9-3pm

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization
  • Update patient health history and chart treatment progress
  • Expose and develop radiographs (if certified)
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments
  • Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems
  • Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (Required)
  • Associate or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required)
  • Radiology certification (if applicable)
  • CPR certification (Preferred but can be obtained upon hiring)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort
