The Sanitation Worker is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the production and shipping areas. They play a critical role in our plants, working within a team to clean production equipment, machines, and work areas where food is processed daily.

The Sanitation Worker spends most of their time on their feet and moving. Significant strength is required for many cleaning operations, such as controlling high-pressure hoses (e.g., 250 psi), lifting heavy containers of chemicals, and emptying trash receptacles around production.

They are responsible for handling, proper storage, and management of chemicals and sanitizers. They are trained to work efficiently and effectively to ensure food safety and workspace cleanliness, enabling us to produce top-quality seafood products at high volume for customers nationwide.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment
  • Promote health and safety in the workplace
  • Display good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization

  • Ensure quality control and efficient workflow

Requirements
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Willingness to work with others to achieve production goals
  • Ability to arrive on time, prepared for the workday
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds
  • Work up to a 10-hour workday: standing/walking most of the day
  • Hand use: grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • Movements: bending, twisting, squatting, reaching
  • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work in temperatures below 32°F
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday and weekends when needed
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives
