Job summary

Clearsite Industrial Services is seeking a Hydrovac Operator in the Tampa, FL area to perform non-destructive excavation around utilities using hydrovacuum systems. You will also manage cleaning, vacuuming, and routine truck maintenance while maintaining a strong safety record.

You will work with the crew to document activities, assist in safety meetings, and travel as needed. The role requires a Class B CDL with tanker endorsement and a current DOT medical certificate.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience.
• Class B CDL with tanker endorsement is required.
• Current DOT medical certificate is required.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydrovacuum systems for non-destructive excavation around underground utilities.
• Perform cleaning, vacuuming, truck mobilization, and routine maintenance.
• Attend safety meetings and follow all safety protocols.
• Complete required company, customer, and regulatory documentation accurately.
• Communicate with on-site representatives to position equipment safely.
• Lead and direct subordinate personnel as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Handle heavy physical work including lifting and working at heights.
• Adhere to variable shifts and extended hours; periodic travel may be required.
