Job summary

Clearsite Industrial Services, based in Richmond, VA, seeks a Hydrovac Operator to support excavation services with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will operate hydrovacuum systems, perform cleaning and maintenance, and liaise with on-site teams to ensure safe equipment positioning.

Required qualifications include a Class B CDL with tanker endorsement, a DOT medical certificate, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Qualifications

CDL driving experience is required.
Must regularly lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
English proficiency sufficient for safety communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

Operate hydrovacuum systems for non-destructive excavation near underground utilities.
Perform cleaning, vacuuming, equipment mobilization and routine truck maintenance.
Attend safety meetings and follow all safety protocols.
Complete company, customer and regulatory documentation accurately.
Communicate with on-site representatives to determine safe equipment positioning.
Lead and direct subordinate personnel as needed.
Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs.
Perform physical work including heavy lifting, working at heights, and confined spaces.
Work flexible construction hours, including variable shifts and extended hours.
Travel out of town or out of state as required.
