Job summary

CK Construction Group in Ohio is seeking a Hydrovac Operator to safely excavate soil and expose underground utilities using high-pressure water and vacuum systems. You will support project teams, perform daylighting, and document field conditions according to OSHA and company safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Class A or B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements, a clean driving record, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake & tanker endorsement.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate Hydrovac truck and equipment to perform non-destructive excavation and utility locating.
• Safely daylight around underground utilities in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Operate Trimble and GPS equipment to record utilities as necessary.
• Locate utilities with a locator wand utilizing tracer wires and other conductive materials in the ground.
• Locate utilities with GPR scanning equipment as required.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Complete required logs and reports to document work performed and site conditions.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area.
• Communicate with site supervisors, team members, and vendors to coordinate tasks.
• Participate in job hazard analysis (JHA), site-specific safety plans, and morning action planning (MAP).
• Other duties as assigned
