Job summary

HydroX is seeking a hydro-vac excavation operator to work outside the truck, performing non-destructive excavation around sensitive underground piping and cables. Duties include tank entry, cleaning, vacuuming, and equipment mobilization, with occasional heavy lifting and heights.

The role requires a CDL with Tanker endorsement, OSHA-10 or willingness to obtain, and strong safety and communication skills. Travel to out-of-town sites and flexible hours are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; OSHA-10 certification available if needed.
• Experience with jetter/hydrovac, vacuum truck or underground utilities preferred.
• Must have tanker endorsement and valid CDL.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operate on-board hydro-vacuum system and perform non-destructive excavation near underground utilities.
• Document all required compliance paperwork clearly and accurately.
• Communicate with on-site customers to position equipment safely.
• Lead and direct crew to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Travel to job sites as required and perform light equipment repairs when needed.
