Job summary

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks a seasoned leader to manage operations and maintenance at the Bonneville Project in Oregon.

You will supervise environmental compliance, safety, and security, and serve as rating official for frontline staff. You will prepare and justify initial budget estimates for personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies to ensure safe, efficient operation and maintenance, monitor progress and costs, and take corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Specialized experience required: planning and assisting with operation and maintenance activities of a large hydropower project.
  • Time-in-grade requirements: 52 weeks at next lower grade for GS-12 or equivalent.
  • Background investigation and confidential financial disclosure annually are required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations and maintenance programs at the Bonneville Project.
  • Serve as the front line supervisor and rating official for environmental compliance, safety, and security.
  • Prepare and justify initial budget estimates for personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies for safe and efficient operations.
  • Monitor progress, measure performance, and take corrective actions to maintain schedules and costs.
  • Ensure safety procedures are in place to provide a safe environment for employees and visitors.
