Job summary

The Bureau of Reclamation, Grand Coulee Power Office, is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to provide mentorship and technical leadership for a range of complex projects at Grand Coulee Dam, the nation’s largest hydropower facility.

You will apply engineering theories to power, water resources, and control systems, review drawings, and guide project teams to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency. The position may require a supervisory probationary period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, ABET-accredited.
• Or degree with calculus and core engineering science courses.
• Combination of education and experience with registration/licensure.
• GS-07 requires 1 year specialized experience with mechanical engineering in power facilities.

• Mentor and provide technical leadership for complex projects at Grand Coulee Dam.
• Review electrical power, communication, and control drawings.
