The Bureau of Reclamation in the Columbia-Pacific Northwest Region seeks an Electrical Engineer at the Grand Coulee Power Office and associated offices to provide electrical engineering support for powerplants, pumping plants, transmission systems, and related facilities.

Responsibilities include leading engineering analyses, coordinating planning, design, modeling, and troubleshooting; developing project plans and technical documentation; and mentoring engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

  • Must submit transcripts to support claimed education.
  • Unofficial transcripts acceptable but official transcripts required before start.
  • Foreign Education: must be evaluated for equivalence by a private organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering analyses and coordinate planning, design, modeling, and troubleshooting for complex electrical systems and projects across multiple locations.
  • Develop and review project plans, guidelines, and technical documentation; present findings at meetings and briefings.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct facility inspections, assessments, and investigations; identify deficiencies, estimate repairs, and document results.
  • Mentor and guide engineers and technicians, provide technical reviews, and ensure quality assurance processes are followed.
  • Manage project plans, oversee contract administration, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable power and water services.
