Job summary

ChemFinity Technologies in New York City seeks an industry-experienced hydrometallurgist to develop, optimize, and scale hydrometallurgical processes used in our proprietary sorbent filter systems. You will design leaching and unit operations, optimize mineral extraction from diverse feedstocks, and collaborate with chemists and engineers to move from lab to pilot to demo scale.

You will work on-site at our Brooklyn facility, preparing documentation and ensuring safety and viability of processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgy, mining engineering, geochemistry or related field.
• 3+ years of industry experience in mineral processing, leaching or metal recovery.
• Expertise in hydrometallurgical techniques with process-variable optimization.
• Commitment to safety and scalable, commercial viability in designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test leaching and hydrometallurgical unit operations.
• Optimize extraction conditions for minerals from diverse feedstocks.
• Collaborate with chemists to optimize sorbent processing in hydrometallurgical conditions.
• Integrate developed processes into refining systems from lab to pilot to demo scale.
• Prepare documentation including flowsheets and design criteria.
• Perform on-site hands-on work at the Brooklyn facility.
