Job summary

Cuprum Metals Inc. is seeking a Hydrometallurgist / Process Chemist to support chemistry development, data generation, scale-up, and technical process support in the Las Vegas, Nevada area.

The role requires 1–7 years of hands-on experience in aqueous chemistry and hydrometallurgy, with advanced degrees preferred. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally is expected, with hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a related field with hands-on hydrometallurgy experience.
• Experience in aqueous chemistry and process development for mineral extraction.
• Strong analytical, QA/QC, and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design laboratory programs to resolve chemistry questions with controls and variables.
• Define operating windows for mineral extraction and purification processes.
• Scale lab work to pilot and commercial stages with engineers.
• Utilize XRD/XRF/ICP techniques for materials analysis and QA/QC needs.
• Perform root-cause analysis for processing issues and provide technical support.
• Investigate new reagents and methods to improve yield and reduce costs.
• Prepare traceable technical reports and project documentation.
