Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an environmental professional (engineer or geologist) to contribute to site characterization and remediation projects for government and private clients. You will design, perform, or oversee soil, groundwater, and surface water investigations and coordinate field activities with teams and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Hydrogeology.
• FG certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to perform fieldwork and obtain 40-hr HAZWOPER certification.
• 0–2 years of environmental consulting experience.
• Travel up to 60–75% time; not limited to Charlotte/Cary NC areas.
• Ability to build relationships and participate in diverse teams.
• Proficient in MS Office and data management software.

Responsibilities

• Design, perform, or oversee soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and surface water investigations.
• Build teams and coordinate fieldwork logistics.
• Data analysis and interpretation; technical report writing.
• Participate in meetings with clients and regulators.
