Job summary

Jacobs in Tempe, Arizona is seeking an environmental geologist/hydrogeologist to support site characterization and remediation for government and private clients. Based in the Phoenix area with hybrid work flexibility, you’ll collaborate with scientists, engineers, and project managers on challenging projects.

You’ll design and oversee soil, groundwater, and surface water investigations, coordinate fieldwork, analyze data, and write technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology or closely related field.
• At least 3 years of environmental site characterization and remediation experience.
• Experience with soil, groundwater, and other environmental media.
• HAZWOPER certification or ability to attain it.
• Strong communication and attention to detail in fieldwork and data evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Design, perform, or oversee soil, soil vapor, groundwater and surface water investigations.
• Coordinate and manage fieldwork logistics with teams and subcontractors.
• Analyze and interpret data and prepare technical reports.
• Develop site strategies and deliver innovative remediation solutions.
