Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an environmental professional (engineer or geologist) to advance environmental site characterization and remediation projects for government and global private-sector clients in the Spartanburg area.

You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and project managers to design, perform, or oversee soil, groundwater, and related investigations, coordinate fieldwork, analyze data, and prepare technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Hydrogeology or related field.
• FG certification or ability to obtain within 12 months after hire.
• Ability to perform fieldwork and obtain 40-hr HAZWOPER certification.
• 0-2 years of experience within environmental consulting or related field.
• Ability to travel up to 60–75% of the time.
• Ability to build relationships, resolve conflict and participate in diverse teams.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and data management software.
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Designing, performing, or overseeing soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and surface water investigations.
• Building teams of colleagues and subcontractors; coordinating fieldwork logistics.
• Data analysis and interpretation; technical report writing.
• Participating in meetings with clients and regulators.
