Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer II to support the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of GenFuel hydrogen fueling infrastructure across 300+ sites.

You will focus on mass and energy balance, ROI modeling, and test validation in a collaborative, cross-functional team. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or controls engineering (or related field) and 0–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or controls engineering or closely related field.
• 0–5 years of engineering experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop mass and energy balance models for real system performance.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, Excel-based modeling) to process datasets and support conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hydrogen system efficiency across the installed base using mass and energy balance modeling.
• Build and defend ROI analyses to support engineering decisions and product improvements.
• Develop and validate test conditions for system-level diagnostics and data-driven results verification.
• Define and maintain system-level requirements and functional specifications for GenFuel components.
