Job summary

National Laboratory of the Rockies invites an undergraduate intern to join the Hydrogen Safety Research and Development program in Colorado. The internship offers hands-on training with the NREL Sensor Laboratory, focusing on sensor evaluation and data analysis in a safety-conscious environment.

The role is 40 hours per week, primarily during summers, with a possibility of part-time during the semester. Applicants must meet educational requirements and provide transcripts; a recommendation

Qualifications

Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Full-time enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program.
Recent bachelor’s degree within the past 12 months; eligible for internship up to 1 year.
Graduate student enrolled in a master’s program; eligible for internship up to 1 year.
Graduate+PhD: enrolled as PhD student to continue studies.

Responsibilities

Train on NREL Sensor Laboratory equipment to evaluate sensor performance.
Perform sensor testing, data analysis, and present results to the team and external partners.
Contribute to research in hydrogen safety and sensor technologies during the internship.
Intern may be part-time during the semester and full-time in summer.
