Job summary

Plug Power seeks a Senior Director of Logistics to lead hydrogen logistics across North America, driving safe, cost-efficient operations and scalable transport networks. This role manages up to 5 direct reports and oversees a $15M+ spend while partnering with executives to align logistics with growth initiatives.

The position emphasizes regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement to support hydrogen deployments and large-scale infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in logistics/supply chain with leadership in high-growth environments.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting and contract negotiations.
• Experience with hydrogen, hazardous materials, or cryogenic logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, planning, and execution for hydrogen logistics across North America.
• Own transportation function; align with sourcing, production, and product strategy.
• Establish scalable logistics network strategies to support NA expansion.
• Lead logistics capacity and asset planning including cryogenic fleet sizing and infrastructure.
• Oversee all transportation modes, including cryogenic liquid hydrogen and gaseous transport.
• Ensure readiness for new product launches, deployments, and large projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate risk.
• Build and lead a high-performing NA logistics organization.
• Drive cost optimization and operational excellence with accountable KPIs.
• Develop and monitor executive KPIs and reporting to leadership/board.
