Job summary

Plug Power, a leader in hydrogen energy solutions, seeks a Senior Director of Logistics to shape and execute a scalable, cost-effective logistics strategy across North America. This role oversees a $15M+ annual transportation spend and up to 5 direct reports, driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvement in hydrogen distribution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of logistics or supply chain leadership, with cryogenics preferred.
• Deep expertise in transportation and logistics strategy in energy/industrial sectors.
• Experience with hydrogen, hazardous materials, or over-dimensional logistics preferred.
• Proven track record building and scaling organizations and delivering operational excellence.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, cost optimization, and contract negotiation.
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead cross-functional alignment.
• Experience negotiating multi-year logistics agreements with high values.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, planning, and execution for hydrogen transport to customers and suppliers.
• Own transportation function and align with sourcing, production, and product strategy.
• Develop scalable NA logistics networks and capital plans.
• Oversee cryogenic trailer fleet sizing, terminals, and related capex.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and risk mitigation.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization across logistics.
• Monitor KPIs such as OTIF, delivery cost per kg, and boil-off rate.
• Lead a high-performing North America logistics organization.
