Job summary

ANDRITZ Hydro in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Project Procurement Manager to lead procurement for hydro refurbishment and modernization projects across the United States. This working-manager role combines direct procurement execution with leadership of the project procurement team, ensuring sourcing strategy, supplier selection, contracts, and delivery meet project requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain or business.
Significant experience in project procurement, supply chain, or related engineering-to-order environments.
Experience leading procurement professionals or cross-functional teams.
Experience in hydroelectric generation, power generation or heavy industrial manufacturing is strongly preferred.
Ability to manage complex supplier work packages and contracts while mitigating risks.

Responsibilities

Lead project procurement across hydro refurbishment and manufacturing portfolios, including planning and sourcing strategies.
Coach and develop procurement specialists in Charlotte and supportShared Services Center in Mexico.
Personally manage selected high‑risk work packages, including supplier selections and contract execution.
Review technical requirements, supplier proposals and project schedules to ensure alignment with delivery needs.
Monitor supplier performance and implement recovery plans when required.
Collaborate with engineering, project management, quality, logistics, and field service to support project execution.
