Job summary

Brookfield Renewable N.A. is seeking an Operator Technician to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Bear Swamp Project. This role involves a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and holidays, and requires mechanical and electrical skills.

The successful candidate will perform maintenance on hydraulic and electrical systems, ensure compliance with operational requirements, and monitor equipment quality. Preferred qualifications include an associate's degree and experience with hydro turbine systems.

Pay ranges from $29.99 to $40.28 per hour, as per the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills in English.
• Experience with hydro generating units and AC power circuits.
• Ability to operate and maintain hydro turbine/generator systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the remote operating center with daily operating activities.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Monitor and report on equipment quality issues.
