Job summary

Seattle City Light is seeking an Electrician Constructor Working Crew Chief for the Skagit Hydroelectric Project. You will supervise up to 11 electrician constructors and apprentices, plan workloads, coordinate materials, and ensure safe operations across generation, distribution, and high-voltage systems.

This role requires leadership, strong communication, and solid knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, and safety regulations, with opportunities to develop reports, forecasts, and training

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience as Electrician-Constructor or journey-level in installation, maintenance and repair of electrical wiring and equipment used in generation and distribution.
• Current Washington State driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and evaluate the work of journey-level workers, apprentices, helpers and laborers.
• Requisition materials, tools and equipment required for each job.
• Compile and prepare reports on work activities, staff status and materials inventories.
• Develop detailed work plans and labor estimates from blueprints and project docs.
• Coordinate safety and training programs.
• Plan and supervise removal of hazardous/toxic materials.
• Provide guidance and training for GECA apprentices.
• Perform Electrician-Constructor duties as needed.
