Job summary

Eagle Creek Renewable Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support hydro-electric projects in North Carolina. You will prepare specs, oversee refurbishment, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate with contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Travel up to ~50% for project supervision and factory inspections; work with mechanical and controls teams; develop electrical schematics and ensure compliance with industry codes. A bachelor's degree and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with ~4+ years in related field.
• Willingness to travel ~50% for project supervision and execution.
• Strong understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with mechanical and controls disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications and engineering documents to procure, install, and commission hydro-electric equipment.
• Plan and direct refurbishment projects from disassembly to return to service.
• Troubleshoot failures and perform root cause analysis to prevent repeats.
• Represent Eagle Creek at shop inspections and factory acceptance tests to ensure compliance with specs and codes.
• Direct contractors and project staff to complete repairs and upgrades on schedule and within budget.
• Provide operations with best practices to improve reliability and minimize downtime.
• Develop electrical schematics and drawings for installation and maintenance.
