Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Compliance Specialist to lead FERC and state licensing activities for hydroelectric assets in PA. The role involves preparing license amendments, coordinating regulator discussions, and ensuring timely responses and report submissions.

You will interact with federal and state agencies, manage inspection schedules, and support re-licensing efforts with data. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience, plus strong MS Office skills, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in engineering, environmental studies, or related field.
• 3+ years of regulatory/compliance experience preferred.
• Experience with FERC and state licensing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory licenses, permits, plans, and procedures.
• Prepare letters and reports required for FERC license and state permit requirements and ensure timely submission.
• Oversee the implementation of and compliance with FERC, state and corporate dam safety regulations, programs and inspection programs.
• Coordinate FERC, state and internal dam inspections.
• Coordinate annual plan reviews of Emergency Action Plans, Public Safety Plans, SPCCs, etc.
• Prepare, track, and ensure timely submission of required reports to applicable regulatory agencies.
• Assess the risk/impact of company activities and projects and advise project team of environmental issues.
• Manage schedules for regulator inspections and meetings, and lead onsite visits or virtual meetings.
• Manage contractors and consultants to ensure completion of environmental and engineering studies.
• Initiate and participate in meetings and discussions with regulators.
• Work with both the Compliance and Licensing Managers to support the hydro re-licensing efforts to include supplying and interpreting data.
