Job summary

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental studies and 3+ years of related experience, with strong organizational and communication skills and a willingness to travel regionally.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with state or federal regulatory agencies and an understanding of regulatory processes and procedures.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to organize, plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through and have the ability to keep data and documents organized and error free.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently and cooperatively with others.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal skills, team-oriented work practices, and strong technical problem solving skills.
• The position requires a valid driver’s license; a motor vehicle report may be required.
• Willingness to travel to facilities within the region; limited overnight travel could be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory licenses, permits, plans, and procedures.
• Develop and submit letters and reports required for FERC license and state permit requirements.
• Coordinate FERC, state and internal dam inspections and annual plan reviews of safety plans and SPCCs.
• Prepare, track, and ensure timely submission of required reports to regulatory agencies.
• Assess regulatory impacts on projects and advise teams on environmental issues and water levels.
• Manage regulator inspections and lead onsite or virtual meetings.
