Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. is seeking a Compliance Specialist to direct FERC and state licensing activities for hydroelectric assets. You will prepare licenses, reports, and manage inspections, reporting, and stakeholder discussions.

The role requires regulatory experience, strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate across teams. Office tools proficiency and travel within the region are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience interacting with state or federal regulatory agencies and processes.
• Proficient in MS Office and data/document management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory licenses, permits, plans, and procedures.
• Develop and submit reports and license amendments to FERC and state agencies.
• Coordinate inspections and annual plan reviews (Emergency Action Plans, Public Safety Plans, SPCCs).
• Prepare timely submissions and maintain regulatory documentation.
